2025 COMMUNITY NEEDS ASSESSMENT

Vandalia Health Mon Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital, together with the Gilmer County Health Department, the Lewis County Health Department, the Lewis County Family Resource Network, and the Gilmer County Family Resource Network, conducted a community health needs assessment survey in February/March of 2025. The Community Health Needs Assessment process utilizes data from the Gilmer and Lewis County Health Department’s (2025 Community Health Needs Assessment Survey), Central West Virginia Community Action Inc. (2024 Community Needs Assessment), SparkMap data for Gilmer and Lewis Counties, United for ALICE Research Center, Workforce West Virginia, the West Virginia Department of Health, Human Resources (Office of Drug Control Policy Dashboards), and the West Virginia Board of Pharmacy. Key leaders, from the organizations listed below, in Gilmer and Lewis Counties, identified and prioritized community health needs. Through Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital’s strategic planning process, the community health needs assessment and prioritized community health needs are used to set community health implementation strategies for Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital. The needs assessment for Gilmer and Lewis Counties was coordinated using input from the following organizations:
